Civil War: Battle Conditions

Gettysburg Reenactment – this video gives students a good idea of the conditions of battle.  Look at how open the battlefield is with little cover, and how close together the soldiers stood.  It is also amazing to see how the smoke from the guns would obscure a soldier’s vision and easy to understand how the battlefield was a confusing place.
